
Lahore: (May 11) -The Pakistan Japan Socio-Economic Association (PJSA) successfully organized the Sakura Tea Time Celebration 2026 on 8th May 2026 at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore, promoting Japanese language, culture, youth empowerment, and Pakistan–Japan friendship. The event was honored by the gracious presence of Chief Guest H.E. Kazumasa Takane, Counsellor / Head of Public Affairs, Embassy of Japan, Islamabad, along with Ms. Saba Arslan, Higher Education Advisor, Embassy of Japan. Other distinguished personalities from the Federal Ministry of Education, academia, diplomatic community, and various institutions across Pakistan also attended the event. During the keynote presentation, President PJSA Ms. Sitara Arif highlighted the importance of integrating Japanese language into Pakistan’s educational framework and building a structured Japanese language ecosystem to prepare Pakistani youth for global and Japanese workforce opportunities. Just as Sakura blossoms symbolize beauty, growth, and renewal, the event beautifully reflected the emerging talents, passions, and aspirations of Pakistani youth. ends
