Islamabad (May 27): Pakistan’s Directorate General of Customs Valuation in Karachi has established new customs values for importing skimmed milk powder and instant milk powder. These changes apply to imports from countries like New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Canada, the USA, Turkey, and Iran.

The new values are implemented through Valuation Ruling 1880 of 2024. This replaces the previous ruling (1638/2022), which is now considered outdated due to changes in the international market.

Industry stakeholders reported a downward trend in global milk powder prices since the issuance of the previous ruling. The new ruling takes these market fluctuations into account. ends
