Rs 3.01 exchange rate adj on HSD

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has allowed to pass on an exchange rate adjustment on high speed diesel (HSD) at Rs 3.01 per litre and 10 paisa on petrol to general public for current fortnight (February 1-29).

Date available with Business Recorder reveals that Average of platts with incidentals & duty has raised by Rs 5.19 per litre from Rs 203.55 to Rs 208.74 per litre on HSD and Rs 2.60 per litre from Rs 190.08 to Rs 192.69 per litre on petrol on month to month basis with effect from February 1.

Inland Feight Equalization Margin has been raised by 6 paisa on HSD from Rs 3.82 to Rs 3.92 per litre and 3 paisa from Rs 6.91 to Rs 6.94 per litre on petrol.

In addition, extra margin on HSD has been raised by 11 paisa from 3 to 14 paisa and nil on petrol.

The government on Thursday notified increase in HSD rate by Rs 8.37 per litre and Rs 2.73 on petrol fortnight starting from Feb 1, 2024. ENDs
