Green E-Taxi Scheme: Who Can Apply and What You Need

Green E-Taxi Scheme 2025 in Punjab is now open for applications, giving unemployed youth a chance to own hybrid and electric taxis through easy payments.

Here is what applicants need to know.

Eligibility is clear. Applicants must be Pakistani citizens with Punjab domicile, between 21 and 45 years old, holding a valid CNIC and driving licence. They must belong to low-income groups, as high earners and those with criminal records will be excluded.

Applying is simple and digital. Candidates register at the official portal using their CNIC and mobile number, followed by OTP verification. They then select their city and vehicle type, and upload the required documents.

The list of documents includes CNIC, driving licence, passport-size photograph, domicile certificate or utility bill, and bank account details. Once verified, applicants complete bank formalities to finalise the process.

The scheme allows applicants to secure vehicles through interest-free instalments. Affordable down payments, easy monthly plans, and full ownership at the end of the cycle make it accessible for those who cannot afford commercial financing.

In the first phase, 1,100 taxis will be distributed, with 30 reserved exclusively for women. Authorities say this step ensures inclusion while promoting clean energy transport in Punjab.

Officials have advised applicants to apply as soon as possible. The deadline for submissions will be announced on the official portal.
