ISLAMABAD (Sept 2) Federal government authorized the heads of autonomous bodies under Cabinet Division as Principal Accounting Officers (PAOs).

The notification states, “In exercise of powers conferred under Regulation 5 of the Financial Management and Powers of Principal Accounting Officers (PAOs) Regulations 2021, the Prime Minister pleased to designate the heads following entities under Cabinet Division as PAOs”.

The heads of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Frequency Allocation Board (FAB), National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will present before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and respond to audit objections raised in Audit Reports of their respective bodies.
