
ISLAMABAD – The government has increased the petroleum levy on petrol by 24 rupees 74 paise per liter, while the price of kerosene oil has also been raised by 8 rupees 70 paise per liter.
Following this 24 rupees 74 paise per liter hike, the petroleum levy on petrol has risen to 116 rupees 8 paise per liter.
On the other hand, the petroleum levy on diesel has been reduced by 24 rupees 34 paise per liter, bringing it down from 68 rupees 93 paise to 44 rupees 59 paise per liter.
According to sources, the petroleum levy on kerosene oil has been maintained at 20 rupees 36 paise per liter. However, the price of kerosene oil has been increased by 8 rupees 70 paise per liter, bringing its new price to 280 rupees 70 paise per liter, compared to its previous price of 272 rupees per liter.
It is worth noting that just yesterday, the government reduced the price of petrol by 4 rupees per liter, while deciding to keep the price of high-speed diesel unchanged.
According to the notification, following the 4 rupees per liter reduction, the price of petrol has been set at 377 rupees 78 paise per liter. The price of high-speed diesel has been maintained at 380 rupees 78 paise per liter with no changes made to it.ends
