Paperless Pension Plan to Launch in KP

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken a major step toward digital governance with the approval of a new online pension system designed to ease difficulties for retirees.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced the launch of the Ehsaas e-Pension System, which will replace the manual pension process with a fully automated platform by January 1, 2026.

Under the system, government employees approaching retirement will be able to submit their cases online six months in advance.

A digital portal will enable them to upload all required documents, which will then be verified electronically. Authorities will process each case through time-bound digital workflows, ensuring efficiency and accountability.

The system will integrate with NADRA, the Accountant General’s Office, and banks to allow smooth verification and direct deposit of pensions into retirees’ bank accounts.

An Ehsaas Pension Dashboard will also be introduced to track applications and payments in real time.

Officials stressed that all pension orders will carry legally valid digital signatures, eliminating the possibility of manipulation or undue delays. The initiative will also cut down on paperwork, queues, and repeated visits to government offices.

CM Gandapur highlighted that the province has already digitized 36 public services and termed the e-Pension platform a “true paperless system.” He said it would bring greater transparency, curb corruption, and provide convenience to thousands of retired employees across KP.
