Up to $6.9 per mmbtu reduction Aug RLNG tariff

ISLAMABAD – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced a month-on-month decrease in Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices, effective August 1. The new rates are calculated based on a single LNG cargo imported by Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
The downward revision reflects a substantial price cut compared to July 2026, with rates dropping between $6.15 and $6.95 per MMBtu across transmission and distribution networks.
According to the notification, for the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) network, the transmission price has been set at $17.4880 per MMBtu, while the distribution price stands at $19.0276 per MMBtu. On the SSGCL network, transmission is priced at $16.0724 per MMBtu and distribution at $18.1345 per MMBtu.
Compared to July 2026, the transmission price for SNGPL declines by $ 6.2140 per MMBtu (26.22%), while the distribution price decreases by $6.8112 per MMBtu (26.36%). For SSGCL, the transmission price saw a decreased of $6.1527 per MMBtu (27.68%), and the distribution price goes down by $6.9527 per MMBtu (27.71%).
