A tense scene unfolded outside Adiala Jail on Friday when an egg was thrown at Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, shortly after the Toshakhana II case hearing.
Aleema was addressing the media near the jail when the egg struck her, creating immediate panic among PTI supporters present at the scene. She was accompanied by her sister, and both were quickly shielded by aides as tensions flared.
The situation escalated as PTI workers reacted aggressively, targeting two young women allegedly involved in the attack. According to eyewitnesses, the crowd turned violent, physically assaulting the women and smashing the windows of their parked car nearby.

Rawalpindi police intervened swiftly and took the women into custody. The incident occurred in the Dahgal area, close to the jail premises. Police later claimed that the two women were PTI workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reportedly frustrated after being ignored by Aleema Khan during the protest.
Despite the shock, Aleema Khan remained composed. “I was already aware that something like this could happen,” she told reporters. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan condemned the incident, calling it a deliberate attempt to create instability.
He urged authorities to provide enhanced security to Imran Khan’s family and demanded immediate action against those involved. “Targeting women and family members is unacceptable,” he added.
